Shadow
Real Name: Deacon (Deke) Slye
Background: Shadow is former cat burglar whose mentor, the Duke, was killed by the mobster Petro. He swore revenge and took up life as a vigilante. He has been active for years on the New York City crimefighting scene and was a founding member of the Outsiders.
He partnered with, and was romantically involved with, Maverick for a time.
For the last few years, he has been considered a crimelord himself by the NYPD, but this is a ruse to allow him to infiltrate the NY mobs.

Skills: Shadow is a highly trained cat burglar and sneak thief, skilled at climbing, stealth, breaking and entering. He also is a talented acrobat and pickpocket.
He has a black belt in Okinawan karate.
Technology: Shadow makes extensive use of climbing and rapelling equipment and burglary tools.
