Watchstar 3000In the year 3000, the Age of Galactic Peace has been shattered with the conquest of Earth by the Saurial race. A group of freedom fighters have banded together to free Earth from the Saurial yoke and return the ideals of justice to the troubled galaxy. Protector (Colonel Carter Smith) was a commander in the Earthforce who uncovered an ancient trove of computer records left by his distant descendant, Jason Smith. The records inspired him to form a new Watchstar a thousand years after the first one. He is the team's leader and the chief planner in the Resistance. A modern suit of battle armor, bioware implants, and his Earthforce commando training, gives him superhuman abilities. Ventura (Sabina Maki) was a famous zero-g dancer and the great-granddaughter of John Mackey, the original Viceroy. Her bloodline's human genes have been enhanced by fusion with Karnak-enhanced DNA, giving her superhuman strength, speed, and flight. As a superhuman, she was one of the first hunted down by the Saurials, and her family were all killed. Vox (Valentine-567 O'Xian) was an exploratory cyborg working in high-radiation zones. Her orbital habitat was plunged into the sun by a Saurial attack, killing thousands of her fellow cyborgs. She has reprogrammed herself for revenge. Vox's cyberware includes sensor webs, integral weaponry, and computer controls. Warlock (Ao Durgan) is a shapeshifter and psychic whose people have been enslaved by the Saurials for millenia. Basalt (Bas Ult) was a slave in the Saurial gladiator pits, who led a slave uprising and broke free. He is seemingly impervious to harm and possesses phenomenal strength, based on his people's ability to control gravity. |
