Karnak Imperium

The Karnak Imperium is a vast interstellar empire of hundreds of worlds, ruled by the Karnak, a humanoid race from the galactic center. The Karnak Gene Wizards are known far and wide across space for tinkering with the genetic code of local species. They have long had an interest in Earth and in human DNA, experimenting often with humans and superhumans.

Among their more famous creations are the warrior Viceroy, the bovine race of SHOC troopers, the legion of spacetravelling Starflyers, the Earth hero Power Man, and the Praetors, whose bodies are living fusion reactors.

Their mortal foes are the reptilian S'Ta , with whom they have engaged in a titanic struggle called the Thousand Year War.

After the unsuccessful S'Ta invasion of Earth, the Karnak established a permanent embassy in Los Angeles, in the area known as Night City.
