Real Name: Loren St. Cloud

Background: Blinded by criminals, millionaire industrialist Loren St. Cloud used his money and technical skills to battle crime and injustice on the West Coast during the Silver Age. He was a reserve member of the first Guardians team and an occasional partner of the Blue Blazer.

The Scarab was later killed in battle with Lucifer. His secret Los Angeles base, full of technical secrets, lay dormant until Loren's son Michael discovered it decades later and updated the identity of the Scarab.

Status: Deceased

Skills: The Scarab was a brilliant inventor and engineer and a skilled combatant.

Technology: The Scarab's helmet tapped into his brain waves and gave him super vision and telepathic control over his gadgets. He wielded a variety of weapons and equipment. His Scarab helicopter was a familiar sight over LA during the Silver Age.
