CounterForce is the world's leading private security firm. The company specializes in the apprehension and detention of supervillains, and recruits superhumans for that purpose worldwide.CounterForce technology is specially designed to deal with the superhuman threat. CounterForce first became prominent when dealing with the threat of XCorp, a large corporation run by Lazarus X, an immortal superbeing.

CounterForce StrikeForces are based in Seattle (led by Skidz) , Chicago, Singapore, London and Bugunda. Each team consists of five to ten specially trained superhumans and associated support staff, including security troopers.

CounterForce's CEO and public face is former US Senator Macabee O'Keefe.
