Real Name: Nathaniel Nova
Background: Nathaniel Nova was a brilliant scientist and inventor, a humanitarian and explorer. With his personal fortune, he founded the Nova Institute. One of his students was Michael Sargon, who matured into one of the greatest threats the world has ever seen. To combat Sargon's menace, Nova recruited a team of superheroes known as the Sentries, their leader, another of his students, Soundwave I. Known as the Sentries, they battled Sargon and other menaces for several years.
A computer simulation of Nova's personality was transplanted into a spacecraft, the Guardian, belonging to Viceroy when he led the Liberators.
