1. "Eviction Notice"

Problems with the Watchstar East scandal force the team to lose Watchstar funding. They regroup as Sierra Force and move their HQ to Kodiak's ranch just outside of the LA city limits. The team roster includes Cobra, Dr Data, Hex, Changeling, Kodiak, Stingray, and Quarry. Cobra disappears, kidnapped by the supergroup Rock-n-Roll.

2. "Mind Games"

Cobra is used as a pawn by a brainwashed (but very much alive) Gizmo. The team tracks Cobra and Rock-n-Roll to a quiet Simi Valley residence being used as a base. A big brawl follows with the former teen villains, during which they are captured. To save Cobra they must disconnect him from a cyberspace machine, but this causes Gizmo to slip into a coma.

3. "Space Pirates"

The heroes go off on a swashbuckling adventure with the alien called the Commodore, in search of a 3000 year old treasure. Cheap thrills abound.

4. "Eco-War!"

Tyger returns to civilization, leading a group of terrorists in their drive for a purified planet. Claw, Plasma, and newcomer Siren all make appearances. Sierra Force stops them, but Siren helps Tyger escape to Haven before allowing herself to be captured. Prelude to the Hex limited series BAD MOON RISING.

Annual #1: "The Griffin"

The team discovers an old 1960s cryo-tube containing a frozen US government super-agent called The Griffin. When he awakens, they chase him around the ranch as zany antics ensue.

5-7. "Not So Fun in the Sun"

Cobra recruits Siren for Sierra Force. Soundwave II recruits his brother Changeling to help him look for Duncan Black Sr, the original Soundwave, who supposedly died in the Hero Wars years ago. They travel to Haven and discover he is alive. Meanwhile, Black Sunday arrives on Haven to release an army of Transasian doomsday robots, which Dr. Omega plans to use to established a beachhead from which he can invade Isola. Scourge of Black Sunday is killed, and so is Duncan Black Sr---by his own son, who is a Transasian agent. Contessa escapes with Changeling, her ex-husband, and the island is overrun by Transasians. Crossbow, Dagger, and former Watchstar member Steel Claw, Crossbow's husband, escape the massacre and vow revenge.

8. "This is War--Nothing Personal"

With Stingray and Hex off on their own endeavors, and Gryphon a houseguest, Sierra Force uses a new teleporter to travel to Sanctuary and look for Changeling. They prevent the activation of the doomsday robots and battle the Transasian invaders, forcing them to withdraw. In Transasia, Changeling encounters the dying Clone Master, who is looking for a worthy successor to pass on all his scientific secrets to.

9-12. "Don't Be Afraid of the D'Harque"

Mantra, Manna's equally hot sister, shows up, asking for assistance from Sierra Force, along with another superbabe named Fury. An ancient magical race called the D'Harque, who are powerful sorcerers, are attempting to break through into this world. Mantra's fighting order, the Sisters of the White Flame, are sworn to stop them. In LA, the Guardians, including Crossfire, Sunhawk, Corona, and Rainbow, battle the D'Harque, are defeated, and transformed into villanous versions of themselves. Avatar also shows up; his powers are actually an extension of D'Harque magic and he is now wholly controlled by them. A huge battle follows, and Sierra Force manages to defeat the D'Harque, but at enormous cost. A dimensional rift has opened in the sky over LA, transforming part of the city into "Night City", an area of perpetual night, where the stars permanently shine. The Guardians are restored to themselves. Fury and Siren are killed and Dr Data moves back to San Francisco. Adrian Knight, patron of the Guardians, merges the remnants of Sierra Force with the remnants of the Guardians into a new team, called Knight/Watch. Their adventures continue in the series of that name.
